Vintage Miniature Dollhouse UK Artisan Faux Marble Plaster Column Pedestal White
This is a lovely, vintage plaster column or pedestal base. It is a wonderful creation, from an unknown artisan, located in the UK. It has wonderful, ornately sculpted details, with a realistic hand-painted faux marbling, in a pale grey and white color. Perfect for topping with a special fern, plant, vase or figurine that you would like to highlight.
This wonderful little miniature was from a collection, 40 years in the making.  Every collection has a story and this one is well, just wonderfully special. I was surprised to see such a tiny home with so many minis, the story behind the person, is that she lived a grand life in a large home, she traveled the world in search for artisan miniatures and boy did she find them.  This collection is so vast, it features miniatures from artisans around the world, most pre internet as she preferred to go to shows or meet the artisans directly but
what was so 'wonderfully' special to me, was in the last years of her life, she sold her estate, moved to a small home and surrounded herself with all of the things that made her happy...her miniatures and  I know she would want each piece to find a wonderful new collection to reside within.  Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
