Vintage CHINESE GIRL RIDING on a KOI FISH holding LOTUS BLOSSOMS & LILY PAD. Excellent condition and clean.
Beautiful hand painting. The girl has a red Bindi dot on her forehead, Her face, neck, shoulders, arms and legs are bisque. The rest of her and the piece is glazed. As the bottom has a vent hole this piece would be great for dry flowers in the fish's mouth.
WHITE SPOTS AND STREAKS ARE REFLECTIONS AND GLARE FROM THE LIGHTING.
Measures 6 7/8ths inches high by 5 1/4 inches wide and 2 1/8th inches deep.
No cracks, chips, gouges or stains. I find no post production flaws on this piece.
There are two minute production flaws; 1.) there is errant red paint on the girl's left hand and 2.) there is a pin-head size black speck of paint on her right knee.
This colorful and well-composed figurine is clean, bright and ready for service and display.
