Vintage Artisan Miniature Porcelain Dollhouse Doll Pretty French Maid Uniform

Back in the day, no proper household could be run without the aid of a competent maid, could it? And that goes for the well managed doll’s house too! Here we a have particularly lovely example of this hard working servant in the form of young lady with long legs, and a short skirt! Ooh, la la! Don’t let her looks deceive you, she is all work when it comes to tending to the children, amongst her other duties. Measuring 5 1/2” tall, she wears a French maid’s uniform that is beautifully tailored despite being so small. Her short, full skirt nips in at the waist, and I’m afraid her neckline, trimmed in lace, dips alarmingly low. Her lace cap frames her face in a pretty way, while keeping her blonde mohair tresses in check. She is made all from porcelain, and jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips. I did not find a signature on her (the clothes are sewn tightly on), but the work was definitely rendered by the hand of a talented artist.
