VINTAGE 80’s SOHIO COURTESY CAR KEY CASE For Distant Clients ROOMY GREAT SHAPE!!

Vintage 1980’s Era (pre-1986) SOHIO STANDARD OIL OF OHIO COURTESY CAR KEY CASE WITH ENOUGH ROOM FOR KEY AS WELL AS A COUPLE OTHER SMALL ITEMS. Would have been given to OUT OF TOWN CLIENTS FOR THEIR WAITING RENTAL CAR, BUT COULD HAVE ALSO BEEN USED FOR THEIR HOTEL ROOM KEY AS WELL. Sohio always treated their clients and out of town associates like VIP's!! Measures approximately 3 8/16" in length x 3 4/16" in width. CHAIN HANGS OUT OF CASE and can be inserted inside to PROTECT KEYS. Other end of key ring is firmly attached to inside bottom of case to keep keys secure and safe. HAS SOHIO BRAND NAME ON FRONT OF CASE. Is made of LEATHERETTE and is BLACK IN COLOR WITH GOLD WRITING AND METAL SILVER TONE TRIM AND KEY RING. Is in VERY GOOD CONDITION. In inspecting the case, all I could see (and I mean, BARELY see), is a little "bump" along the middle part of the lower ridge just above the words, "Sohio Courtesy Car" (see photo). Incidentally, the colors black and gold are the same colors of the gorgeous Standard Oil 100th Anniversary Glass Plate given to employees in 1970. I believe this courtesy car key case is a relatively RARE SOHIO COLLECTIBLE as I have been a collector for 2-3 decades and have never seen one before - but I could be wrong. DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS PIECE OF PETROLIANA HISTORY BEING OFFERED AT A VERY LOW and REASONABLE STARTING BID!! GREAT FOR ANY PAST EMPLOYEES OF SOHIO STANDARD OIL OR THE PETROLIANA MEMORABILIA COLLECTOR. WOULD ALSO BE A NICE and UNUSUAL ADDITION TO THE KEY CHAIN KEY RING OR KEY CASE COLLECTOR. From 1870-1911, the Standard Oil Co., Inc. was the LARGEST PETROLEUM COMPANY IN THE WORLD. John D. Rockefeller, its co-founder, is regarded as one of the wealthiest Americans of all time. Standard Oil of Ohio was founded in 1911 after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the former company a monopoly. In 1986, Sohio was acquired by BP (British Petroleum).
