    Description

    This 10.5 cm diameter crystal disc contains 8 carved cavities (1 center 3.5 cm and 7 circling 1.75 cm) into which a skillful painter has painted 16 Bejing Opera masks using a tiny brush to reach inside the cavity to do reverse painting inside the bottle. This unique piece was purchased about 15 years ago from Wang Xi'san's inside painted snuff bottle museum in Hengshui, China and has been part of my collection since then. This hand carved crystal features two arts unique to China - the Bejing Opera and inside painting.
