Antique Original Wall Sconce adapted for your Gas Globe - Very Ornate with the perfect 6" (inside diameter) new tray or globe base. The added wall mount plate is 18” x 6” wide, it is intended to be cut down and antiqued or finished to match the sconce. Entire fixture from wall to edge of tray measures 9-1/2”. From top edge of tray to bottom of tailpiece is 9”. I have never come across this exact style in all of my years of collecting, and this sconce also still had the original ALUMINUM wiring when I got it! Perfect fit for your gas globe or decorative lens. All cast iron construction with original screws, it has been completely reworked with new ceramic socket, 14 gauge braided wire, threaded rod and mounting bracket. This item has no traditional wall mount hardware because it came to me with none, and “normal” light fixture wall mount electrical brackets would never hold it. To utilize the custom wall plate bracket, I suggest the buyer use a very heavy duty screw or even a lag bolt, and attach the wall mount plate directly to a stud. I have too many projects at the moment, so I decided to not rework the surface finish and will leave that up to the new owner to paint, antique, powder coat, etc to their taste. This sale is for the vintage wall sconce with new mounting plate only, the globe is for display purposes or reference.
