Acrylic LUCITE Chinese Buddhist God and Goddess Sculptures/ Art pieces
Etched Lucite Bookends/ Art~carved or cast from within. The deities seem suspended inside as if they have been encased in glass. The opening is in the bottom and so they appear to just float there.
One features Guanyin 观音 the mercy goddess also known as Avalokitesvara Buddha & the other is of the Jade Emperor 玉皇大帝
Heavy rectangular clear lucite blocks.
They both are art pieces and can be displayed alone, used as bookends or illuminated from beneath as beautiful art.

Condition notes~ There is one tiny chip on the Quanyin /Avalokitesvara on a side edge and a tiny corner chip on the back of the Jade Emperor
Very minimal and can possibly be polished out by a lucite artist/craftsperson.

Lucite is a high quality, trademarked version of acrylic resin developed by DuPont in 1937. WE have no way of determiningwhich this is but regardless you can see that it is very clear and produces filtered prismatic rainbows when places in direct light
