  • Condition: This exquisite 1:12 scale smooth lipped iridized blue glass compote or tazza is the work of long retired IGMA artisan Francis Whittemore. While my offerings make his work seem plentiful, collecting these rare pieces one at a time took incredible obsessive determination and personal cost. Most of our offerings are listed below prices paid. Mr. Whittemore's work is beyond compare. This piece was purchased new over two decades ago and remains in pristine condition, ideal for any elegant condition. This is a very rare and exquisite piece.     Welcome and enjoy browsing my unique listings of 1:12 scale hand crafted dollhouse artisan miniatures. These are not toys. These items are inappropriate for children under age twelve, as most are very delicate and intended for display only. They are in gently used condition. I am downsizing my extensive personal collection of exquisite dollhouse miniatures handmade in the US or UK, not a professional dealer but an avid retired collector. Take a moment or two to visit my son's newly opened site - mini frog fellow - for more of our shared treasures!

    This handcrafted 1:12 scale exquisite iridized blue smooth lipped glass compote featuring a clear bubble stem and foot is the work of long retired IGMA artisan Francis Whittemore, highly esteemed for over fifty years of miniature glass creations. This is a stunning piece ideal for any elegant miniature setting. Mr. Whittemore only produced a very few number of iridized items, so this is truly a rare and glorious treasure. Currently I have a number of various styles and colors of Mr. Whittemore's compotes and trumpet vases on offer in separate listings.
